How do I get started with therapy?
If your doctor determines that therapy will be an important part of your recovery, he or she will write out a prescription for therapy (much like writing a prescription for medication). You can then bring this prescription to us, and we can get you started on your rehabilitation program.

What should I look for when selecting a therapy provider?
There are several things you should look for in a rehabilitation provider. Feel free to visit & check out our clinics before you get started if it helps you make your decision. Some of the things to look for include:

Experience. Be sure that the clinic has years of experience in providing rehabilitation services.

Specialization. You want your provider to be a specialist in the type of injury or condition you have, not just a generalist who sees just a few of your conditions or injuries each year.

A great environment. The clinic should have a comfortable, stimulating environment. The better you feel about your provider, the better the results you will achieve.

Great therapists. The staff should be friendly, supportive, and encouraging. You should feel good working with the people who are helping you.

References. The rehabilitation facility should be able to provide you with people you can contact or documentation about the results that they have achieved with their patients.

And if it comes to comparing a rehabilitation place that happens to be right around the corner with Kleiser Therapy, ask yourself one very important question…is it more important saving a few minutes on a commute or achieving long-term results?

What insurance do you accept?
Kleiser Therapy accepts most major insurance plans, and we are also an approved Medicare provider.

As an additional service to our patients, we will confirm your benefits in advance and directly bill your insurance company for therapy expenses. Depending on your policy, you may be responsible for some portion of the bill not covered by your insurance.

What to Expect in Your Rehabilitation Program

Initial Evaluation & Re-evaluation. Prior to the start of your rehabilitation program, we will complete an initial evaluation of your injury or condition. We use a computerized program to take some baseline measurements that address a number of factors relating to strength & range of motion. This helps us identify the limitations you have and determine which exercises & treatments would be most effective in helping you achieve the best results possible.

Then, before your next physician’s visit, we will regularly monitor & re-evaluate these factors to identify the progress that has been made since your last evaluation. We will then forward the information & graphs to your physician and others on your care team as required.

Warm-up. Prior to starting your exercise program, you may receive either a moist heat or dry heat treatment. This helps to increase blood flow to the injured area and prepare your body for your exercise program.

Clinical Exercise Program. Using state-of-the-art equipment and proven therapy techniques, a therapist will set you up on a series of exercises, stretches, and modalities specifically designed to treat your injury or condition. A therapist will work with you as you go through each step of your program, explaining each exercise or technique and how it benefits your situation. Based on your progress, the treatments that make up this program can be modified and adjusted to help achieve optimal results.

Home Exercise Program. For each specific injury or condition, you will have a home exercise program that you do when away from the clinic. This program will help build up your range-of-motion, strength, & stamina in the affected area, and it will also help you maintain the gains that you make through your therapy sessions in the clinic.
