Kleiser Therapy - Pronator Syndrome

Pronator Syndrome is a relatively uncommon diagnosis that involves the median nerve in the upper extremity.  Although the nerve is commonly associated with carpal tunnel syndrome where the nerve is compressed at the wrist, the median nerve is also vulnerable at the elbow.  In Pronator Syndrome, the median nerve is entrapped or compressed within the heads of the pronator muscle.  This compression leads to forearm and hand pain + weakness.

Treatment for Pronator Syndrome starts with your physician ruling out different diagnoses such as carpal tunnel syndrome.  Your physician may recommend taking anti-inflammatory medications, and a comprehensive therapy program may be prescribed to assist in decreasing pain and regaining lost strength and function.
