The Arm

Lifting an object, opening a jar, throwing a ball, and holding a child are some of the many tasks we do with our arms. As a result of a sudden traumatic injury, constant repetitive movement, or biological changes to the arm or elbow, there are a variety of injuries & conditions that can cause significant pain, restrict movement, and limit strength.

Therapy for your arm or elbow is a treatment prescribed by your physician that can reduce or eliminate pain, improve range of motion, increase strength, and improve function. A comprehensive rehabilitation program treats the root cause of the injury or condition and can provide excellent long-lasting results. Rehabilitation is a conservative step typically used by physicians prior to prescribing a surgical procedure, and it is a treatment employed after surgery to improve function to the arm & elbow.

The specialists at Kleiser Therapy focus exclusively on hand, arm, and shoulder rehabilitation. Using the knowledge and expertise from over 24 years of specialized care treating thousands of patients with excellent results, we know which treatments work best for each specific injury and condition. Our Certified Hand Therapists and licensed Occupational Therapists can develop a customized, highly-effective treatment program to address your specific injury and needs.

The sooner that treatment is started after an injury occurs or a condition develops, usually less time in therapy is required to regain function and movement. If you are suffering from an injury or condition that requires rehabilitation, don’t put off getting the injury checked by your physician.

If you are unsure whether the injury or condition is serious enough to require medical attention, we offer complimentary screenings where you will meet with one of our therapists. He or she will evaluate your condition and recommend the right next steps based on your injuries, all at no charge to you. Many times there are even simple things you can do at home to address the condition which can alleviate the need for therapy.

We have listed some of the common arm and elbow injuries that the specialists at Kleiser Therapy treat on a regular basis. Click on any of the injuries and conditions listed for more information.
