THE SHOULDER

The Shoulder

The functionality of the shoulder enables us to swing a tennis racquet, steer a car, lift objects over our head, pull start a lawnmower, and many other movements. As a result of a sudden traumatic injury, constant repetitive movement, or conditions that develop in the shoulder, you may experience significant pain, limited function, restricted range-of-motion, and reduced strength.

Shoulder therapy is a treatment prescribed by your physician that can improve range of motion, reduce or eliminate the pain, increase strength, and improve function. A comprehensive rehabilitation program treats the root cause of the injury or condition and can provide excellent long-lasting results. Therapy is a step typically used by physicians prior to prescribing a surgical procedure, and it is also used to help improve function after a surgery is performed.

The specialists at Kleiser Therapy focus exclusively on hand, arm, and shoulder rehabilitation. Using the knowledge and expertise from over 33 years of specialized care treating thousands of patients with excellent results, we know which treatments work best for each specific injury and condition. Our therapists are also Certified Hand Therapists who can develop a customized, highly-effective treatment program to address your specific injury and needs.

The sooner that treatment is started after an injury occurs or a condition develops, typically a shorter therapy time is required to regain function and movement. If you are suffering from an injury or condition that requires rehabilitation, don’t put off getting the injury checked by your physician.

If you are unsure whether the injury or condition is serious enough to require medical attention, we offer complimentary screenings where you will meet with one of our therapists who will evaluate your condition and recommend the right next steps based on your injuries, all at no charge to you.
